It seems like forever since we last heard of pop-rock band Lawson.
Their certified Gold debut album Chapman Square spawned a number of UK top ten hits and saw the four-piece of Andy Brown, Joel Peat, Ryan Fletcher and Adam Pitts tour the world with their catalogue of catchy tunes that garnered a host of celebrity fans including Queen of pop Taylor Swift. In 2016 however, the popular band decided to take a break and focus on solo projects.
In a hilarious mockumentary titled “Lawson – Where Are They Now?” curious fans of the band can see what Andy and the boys have been up to in the preceding four years. Jobs have ranged from a ‘flourishing’ actor to a friendly Uber driver, a Michelin star-collecting chef and even a woodland recluse!
New lives were put on hold briefly when the band performed a one-off gig at Shepherd’s Bush Empire in 2018, which sold out in a matter of minutes. Now the hiatus is over and Lawson are back with new material for the first time in four years.
